June 1st, 2008 - Glen Meakem: Competition is the Answer for Pennsylvania

Glen in StudioGlen focuses on entrepreneurship this week, and opens the show by responding to some listener comments. Then, Glen talks with Mark Miller, Founder and CEO of Solutions Consulting, about their history as entrepreneurs, how Mark started his company, and how entrepreneurship creates jobs for the community.

Then, Glen talks to State Senator Rob Wonderling about why Pennsylvania’s not a growing state, what “corporate greed” really means, and why young people are leaving in droves. Glen concludes that competition is the answer to helping Pennsylvania grow again.

Glen then talks about oil prices and why Congress is so clueless on energy policy, before showing us what we can learn about the economy from camel farmers in India.

Glen closes by continuing his “Why I’m Proud of America” series with the heroic story of US Army PFC Ross A. McGinnis, of Clairon, PA.
