August 3rd, 2008 - Glen Meakem on Combatting Human Trafficking
This week, I interview Ambassador Mark. P. Lagon about human trafficking: how it happens, where it takes place, and what the U.S. government is doing to combat it.
Then, I talk with Frank Pinto, President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers. Frank and I discuss his letter to the editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about community banks and subprime lending. My and Frank’s bottom line: people need to live up to their individual responsibilities.
Then, I comment on energy and Obama’s trip abroad, as well as his recent fall in the polls. Finally, I address the strong response to my op-ed piece in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette last week titled “The Steelers and the status quo.”
