August 24, 2009 - America’s morning Show

Today, I interviewed a terrific guest on “America’s Morning Show.”  His name is Staff Sergeant Chris Bane (Ret.), who served our country in Iraq in 2004.  Chris tells the amazing story about how he was severely wounded while protecting 15 of his men from enemy mortar fire.  Chris makes the point that great leaders lead by example.  Because Chris protected his men, they were able to save his life, first by eliminating the insurgents who launched the mortar attack, and then again by providing the immediate medical attention that Chris required on the battle field.  Chris’s injuries were so extensive that he spent three years recovering at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  If you missed this program, please listen to the 7 am hour (hour 2).  You will be inspired!

Chris now works with the Wounded Warrior Project, participated in the 2009 “PA Hero Walk,” and is running for U.S. Congress (10th Congressional district of Pennsylvania).

Other guests on the radio program this morning include Kevin Acklin, Independent candidate for Mayor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (6:00 am) and Scott Walker, County Executive of Milwaukee County & candidate for the Governor of Wisconsin (8:45 am).  Both Kevin and Scott discuss the importance of less government spending, lower taxes, and fiscal responsibility on both the national and the local levels.
