National opposition to ObamaCare continues to rise. The latest Rasmussen poll shows that 56% of voters now disapprove of the healthcare reform plans currently being debated in Washington D.C. A record low of only 41% now approve. Dick Morris points out that seniors are revolting against ObamaCare by nearly a 2 to 1 margin.
And yet, in spite of clear and overwhelming public opposition, and in spite of yesterday’s votes in the Senate Finance Committee against government run health care, Liberal Democrats in Congress are still vowing to push through a public option. Democratic Senator Tom Harkin (IA)–chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee said ‘yesterday that Democrats “comfortably” have the remaining votes to reach 51 and pass a public plan once the debate moves to the floor.’ Democrats are still not backing down from their destructive healthcare agenda. We must keep the pressure on our elected leaders. Dick Morris reminds us that time is running short and encourages all of us to write our senators and encourage them to vote against ObamaCare.
Morris identifies these ten “swing” votes in the U.S. Senate.
