ACORN still involved with the Census Bureau?
The Census Bureau has officially cut all ties with ACORN following the release of 5 video tapes showing ACORN workers “counseling undercover operatives about how to run a child protitution ring.” However, the Census Bureau continues to maintain a “partnership” with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), a group with “close financial and operative ties with ACORN.” Using typical violent union tactics, the SEIU was the group that assaulted several opponents of President Obama’s government takeover of healthcare at town hall meetings this summer.
This continued relationship has troubled several lawmakers and government officials. Census Director, Robert Groves stated…
If politics taint the census, “we’re in deep trouble… as a Census Bureau, as a census and as a country.”
