Jason Altmire is still “undecided” on Healthcare vote
Updated Call list: 16 Dems who voted NO and now may switch their votes to YES!
Rep. Jason Altmire just reiterated (over and over and over) on the Sean Hannity Show today that he will vote with his constituents on the healthcare bill. This may sound good to some, especially since his constituents are clearly opposed to the Senate bill. A recent poll produced these results for Altmire’s district (PA-4).
- 76% oppose using tax dollars to pay for abortions (61% strongly oppose)
- 74% oppose taxpayer funding of abortions as part of healthcare reform (63% strongly oppose)
- 64% agree that abortion and abortion funding have no place in healthcare legislation (54% strongly agree)
- 58% would be less likely to vote to re-elect Congressman Altmire if he votes for healthcare legislation that includes federal government funding of abortion (46% would be much less likely)
The problem is, he refuses to declare himself a “NO” vote. What does this tell you? PLEASE CALL AND TELL HIM TO VOTE “NO.”
The Hill is reporting that Jason also opposes the “deem to pass” strategy (Slaughter Solution). So why is he still “undecided?”

Congressman J. Altmire,
District (PA-4)
Rep. N. Pelosi said she would lead the most ethical Congress in history. She has proven that “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts, ABSOLUTELY. Do NOT vote for Obahmacare legislation. Say “NO” and please say it loudly for those citizens who are being ignored by our representatives.
Slaughter Solution – deem to pass ?????? Absolutely NO.
NO is not a difficult idea to understand. Please vote no for your constituents!
Thank you.
I attended a seminar by one of the top lobbyists in DC a few years back.He gave a great presentation including an awesome chart that unfortunately I cannot reproduce here. But the gist of it stated that any elected official avoided doing anything that would motivate the electorate against him. The worse sin of all was to so motivate one that not only would he/she donate money to their opponent but to also volunteer time on the opponent;s campaign and also try to recruit others to join him/her.
With that in mind I sent an email to Con Altmire telling that if he voted for this bill, not only would I donate money to his opponent but I would also actively campaign against him and encourage as many of my friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to join in my efforts to unseat him.
I would encourage others to send a similar email,
