Remember – Rep. Waters reveals intention to “takeover” oil industry
UPDATED: The Politico reveals today that the White House is in a “panic” over Obama’s poor response to the on-going oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.

There is no good answer to this. There is no readily apparent solution besides one that could take three months. …if it doesn’t show the impotence of the government, it shows the limits of the government.

In the context of this White House statement and the oil leak, it is worth remembering Rep. Maxine Water’s warning to Shell President Hofmeister, which she issued during a House Committee hearing on May 22, 2008 regarding rising oil prices. Video below the fold.
