What? Sen. Al Franken Explains Cartoon on Senate Floor
On May 6, Senator Franken decided to use a political cartoon by Tom Toles, recently published in the Washington Post, to illustrate why further government regulation is still needed in the Dodd financial overhaul bill.

Franken takes many moments to explain the drawing and its symbols as documentation for his argument for more government regulation of yet another part of the financial industry.
No, this is not a “Saturday Night Live” skit. This is the real thing from the Senate floor where the 100 members are paid $174,000 — each — for this work. The folks back home must be very proud of the honorable gentleman.

I think if after seeing this cartoon, if anyone doesn’t support my amendment, there, I don’t know what could do that. Anyway, this actually shows, makes the point very well.
