EPA Now Empowered to Enact Cap and Trade

The Murkowski resolution limiting the authority of the EPA to enact Cap and Trade regulations failed 47-53.
President Obama knows that the Senate is unable to pass his Cap and Trade legislation. So he has empowered his EPA to reclassify carbon as a pollutant. With this reclassification, the EPA now has the authority to implement Cap and Trade regulations without the approval (or in spite of disapproval) of Congress under the Clean Air Act. Murkowski’s amendment was designed to limit the EPA’s authority, but thanks to Democrats, it failed. Liberals in Congress will stop at nothing to implement their destructive “progressive” agenda. Consider the past 18 months. We the people have spoken out against “stimulus” spending, Congress and President Obama has passed more “stimulus” spending. We the people overwhelmingly rejected Obamacare, Congress and President Obama passed Obamacare with the help of parliamentary “tricks.” We the people are saying “no” to Amnesty, Congress and President Obama continue to push for Amnesty while condemning the Arizona immigration law. We the people have rejected Cap and Trade, and now Congress and President Obama are forcing this destructive agenda onto our economy through the EPA. People, it will only end after we vote the liberals out of office.
From Human Events…
Senate Democrats yesterday voted to empower unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), trial lawyers and activist judges to enact Obama’s cap and trade national energy tax through regulation and against the will of the American people.
Voting down Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s (R-Ak.) resolution of disapproval (S.J. Res.26) by a 47-53 margin, Democrats approved handing the EPA the unprecedented power to drastically regulate carbon dioxide, the very substance human beings exhale when we breathe.
All Republicans voted in favor of the disapproval resolution that would have stripped the EPA’s ability to enforce their “endangerment” finding, six Democrats crossed over to vote with Republicans.
