a democracy needs informed citizens if it is to thrive, or ultimately even survive.
In our times, American democracy is being dismantled, piece by piece, before our very eyes by the current administration in Washington, and few people seem to be concerned about it.

There is a huge amount of “informed opinion” available to people today. Often disseminated on blogs, talk radio, and personality driven news shows, this opinion provides an alternative to the Main Stream Media echo chamber.

Furthermore, Harry Reid just assured Nancy Pelosi that if the House passes the DISCLOSE Act, He will get it onto the floor of the U.S. Senate before the elections. According to The Hill…
Democrats have sought to push forward with the legislation, which has some Republican support, as quickly as possible in order to have a maximum impact on this fall’s congressional elections.
