A note from Dale:  The following is a draft copy of a speech that I delivered at Allegheny Landing in Pittsburgh PA on 10/7/10.  By the way, I am almost done with sub prime mortgage commentary

Thank you Patti. And thanks to everyone here today. I cannot overstate the importance of your involvement. By working together, and by getting out the vote, we will get our country back on track.

My name is Dale McCoy….I am a husband and a father….I am a union member….I am a democrat….but first and foremost…I am an American.

I believe we live in the greatest nation on earth, and I believe that the United States of America is the greatest nation the world has ever known.

But this great nation is in trouble.

We have elected politicians who lack morals, values, and common decency.

Our congressmen lie, cheat, and steal.

Our senators bribe each other, with our money.

Our President rules by executive order, and by appointment of czars.

We are controlled by a ruling class that no longer answers to the people.

It is time to put a stop to this…….We’ve had enough!

Our government has failed us.

They promised us prosperity, and they gave us debt.

They promised us unity, and they gave us division.

They promised us transparency, and they gave us closed doors.

It is time to set things straight

Both political parties have abused their power,

But our current leaders have abused power on an unprecedented scale.

It is an overreaching , overbearing federal govt that gave birth to these tea parties.

We believe in fiscal responsibility.

We believe in limited Government.

We believe in free markets, individual freedom, and the constitution of United States of America.

And we will not compromise our principles for any political party.

Over the last 18 months, I have watched the news media and the politicians try to analyze us….

the Tea Parties, the 9:12 groups, Veterans and Patriots, conservative voices all across this great nation.

They call us radical, and racist, and angry.

Let me explain for them.

We’re not radical……we’re rational.

We’re not racist……..we’re equal.

And we’re not angry…….we’re disgusted.

We are disgusted with a leadership that thinks you can spend your way out of debt.

We are disgusted with a leadership that thinks you can tax your way to prosperity.

We are disgusted with a leadership that apologizes for America.

This is the America that is the first responder to floods, famine, and earthquakes.

This is the America that destroyed a ruthless dictator named Saddam Hussein.

This is the America that defeated Hitler, and Tojo.

This is the America that liberated France.

We don’t owe anyone an apology…..they owe us thanks.

I told you earlier that I was a democrat.

Now let me tell you that I am thoroughly fed up with the leadership of the democratic party.

They threaten to cut military spending even as they keep our people in battle.

But they bailed out banks, insurance companies, and wall street.

And then they handed us the bill.

They support illegal immigration.

They seized control of private companies.

And they seized control of my healthcare.

They have inflicted heavy damage on freedom loving Americans.

But freedom loving Americans are fighting back!

A political party is responsible for its own leadership.

When you vote for a democratic congressman, you are voting for Nancy Pelosi.

When you vote for a democratic senator, you are voting for Harry Reid.

This is the reality of a two party system.

I demand better leaders.

I did not leave this democratic party, but they sure as hell left me.

On Nov 2nd, I will be voting for change!!

It is time to put principle ahead of party

I refuse to be a puppet, I refuse to be a serf.

I will be supporting new faces, and new leaders.

In order to change this government, we have got to change the people in it.

The people we elect on Nov 2nd have 2 years to prove themselves.

If they fail, we get rid of them in 2012.

The entire house of representatives is up for re-election…..help me get rid of these people.

One third of the senate is up for re-election……help me get rid of these people.

In 2 years, our president is up for re-election…..

God help us vote that man out.

We are just weeks away from the most important election of our lifetime.

It is time to get out the vote.

It is time to go door to door, its time to talk to our friends and relatives.

There is an old adage that you don’t talk politics in polite company.

It is time to get rid of that adage……we had better start talking about politics.

It is time to convince others to put principle ahead of party.

If everyone involved in this tea party movement gathers one more vote, our strength will double

If everyone involved gathers 2 votes, our strength will triple.

And if everyone here gathers 10 votes, we will be absolutely unstoppable.

The election on Nov. 2nd will determine the future of our country, our constitution, and our children.

Fight the good fight….And God Bless America!!!

Our country is at a turning point. We can begin to return to a constitutional republic, or we can continue down the road to socialism.

More taxes, more mandates, and more entitlements will not help us.

Our national debt is 13 trillion dollars, and growing.

To put that in perspective….a trillion seconds, not minutes, but seconds…..is more than 31 thousand years.

Multiply that by 13,

We are in trouble……
