2014-01-11 The Failure of Big Government

This weekend, Glen talks about the failure of big government to win the war on poverty over the past 50 years, the failure of big government to implement Obamacare, and the failure of big government to create jobs and economic growth.

Glen talks with Bob Fragasso (Chairman and CEO of Fragasso Advisors) about the latest jobs report, the contributions of the recent energy boom to the U.S. economy, and some principles for investing in 2014.    Glen also talks with Dr. Paul Kengor (Executive Director for the Center for Vision and Values) about the rise of communist ideology in American politics.  Finally Glen talks with Horace Cooper (adjunct fellow with the National Center for Public Policy Research and Co-Chairman of the Project 21 National Advisory Board) about the the negative results of the War on Poverty.

Very disappointed to hear Bob Fragasso on your show GUSHUNG about the “quiet revolution” in “upgrading” education being brought about by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation! This “private money” is pouring in to the depts of education to basically set up a “farm system”, via “Common Core”, in public schools whereby the kids are being REQUIRED to learn in a manner which is useful to “private industry”. That is not “public education” for the benefit of the students, that is fascism. As long as there is mandatory attendance in education, so-called public/private partnerships are a CORRUPTION, no matter how pure-as-the-driven-snow one might consider their motives to be. People like Fragasso have much to profit by students being pushed in their direction, especially when they are also being pushed toward expensive and choke-collaring college education programs. I am not saying Fragasso has ulterior motives. I AM suggesting a rather sloppy acceptance of the iron fist of government in the velvet glove of private industry. I’m sorry, Glen, this has cast a pall over my Sunday morning radio. Please be more careful.
